Kids are our future
I spent the day being inspired. I was part of a panel at Niagara College for a “Climate Change Day” event organized by the students. Our youth always amaze me. They are engaged and wise and resourceful and eager. They had created a large banner full of signatures and packed it up at the end of the day and shipped it off to Copenhagen. They wrote some inspiring and some silly songs for the event. They organized an eco-fair.
If we had the time to wait until today’s children grew up, I’d have more confidence in the future of the planet. As it is, it’s up to us to make sure these kids have a chance to inherit their opportunities.
For all the moms out there, upload pictures of your child here and remind Stephen Harper who he’s negotiating for in Copenhagen.
