2008 Oct 14: Election-night party

Dear Green Party Volunteers,

I’m so sorry for the late invite. We’ve been a little busy at the campaign office these last few days ensuring that your hard work during this campaign turns into vote after vote after vote.

Please join us and a whole bunch of Greens from across Toronto at Supermarket in Kensington Market to watch the returns and let us thank you for a job very well done. Your significant other and/or friends (a reasonable quantity) are welcome to come.

Just one note: national media will be there, so please wear your greenest clothes, buttons, hats, banners, etc. And an extra reminder: what you say to a reporter could end up on the national news!

See you there!

Why aren’t you supporting your riding and the local businesses here who supported you by putting up signs etc?

I would have loved to watch the returns with you but I prefer to do it close to home.

This party is for all Toronto ridings, which is why it isn’t in our neighborhood, like our other get-togethers were.
