Only candidate who stayed to the end
At the risk of being petty…
…here’s a quote from an article about the Homelessness Response Alliance’s all-candidates meeting on poverty and homelessness at WoodGreen Community Centre:
Toronto-Danforth’s Conservative candidate Christina Perreault was a no-show, while Liberal Andrew Lang made some brief remarks before leaving just minutes into the forum due to a scheduling problem.
Marilyn Churley, the Beaches-East York NDP candidate, stood in for federal NDP leader and Toronto-Danforth incumbent MP Jack Layton who was away campaigning in Montreal. She remained for most of the discussion but left about two-thirds of the way in.
The only candidate who stayed to the end of the gathering was Sharon Howarth, the riding’s Green Party candidate.
