Join the Toronto Greens contingent – featuring Elizabeth May and Mike Schreiner – at the Pride Festival parade on Sunday, July 3!

What: Pride Parade
When: Sunday, 2011 July 3, 1:30pm
Where: outside the Green Party of Ontario office, 14 Isabella Ave (just east of the Artful Dodger)

We will be meeting around noon. The parade begins at 2pm. We want a big group of Greens demonstrating our pride in our longstanding commitment to LGBT rights.

The parade is fun, noisy and wet. We will have a hand drum band, bubbles, water guns and a big green flag.  Please plan on wearing a Green t-shirt (see below).     Read more »

Advance voting opens today, Earth Day.  What better way of celebrating than by voting for the Earth?

Advance polls are open Easter weekend
Friday, 2011 April 22, noon – 8 pm
Saturday, 2011 April 23, noon – 8 pm
Monday, 2011 April 25, noon – 8 pm

To find your advance poll station, visit elections.ca,
type your postal code and press Go to find your riding,
and then click on Where do I vote?

Please.  Your Green vote will be noticed and will make a difference.  We need your help to change the direction of politics in Canada.

Everyone is welcome vote in the advance polls.

Election day remains Monday, May 2.

The Xof1 solar car is not allowed to drive on public roads.  So its creator, Marcelo da Luz, pulled it all the way as he walked the distance from Niagara Falls to Toronto.  His ceremonial end point was Queen’s Park.  After arrival, Adriana walked with him and the car back to his home in Toronto-Danforth.

Young Greens around the country will be drawing out lines to the advance polls tonight.  When people wake up tomorrow morning, green chalk lines will have appeared on sidewalks all over the country, leading to advance polling stations.
