This is a kid-friendly event. The organizers are encouraging participants to have engaging, interactive displays and lots of street theatre.

Not that this is a big surprise.
This is great news. Part of the problem with fighting climate change with traditional government departments is that they get under each other’s toes. I’ve always wanted an overarching body to coordinate efforts for the massive economic restructuring required. Today, the Toronto Star reported that Premier McGuinty appointed Hugh MacLeod to do just that. He reports directly to the Premier. This is great news. I can only hope that Mr. MacLeod is the right man for the job and that he’s given the necessary tools to do it.
