Election date
Bob Hepburn, in The Star, suggests:
Circle Monday, May 2 on your calendar. That’s the day Canadians could be going to the polls to elect a new federal government.
Senior federal Liberals have told their Ontario provincial counterparts in recent days that they are now seeing the early May date as the most likely for an election to decide the fate of Stephen Harper’s minority government.
It’s possible that the timing may slip a week:
If the confidence vote is delayed a few days, but still goes against the governing Tories, election day will be May 9.
UPDATE: It is definitely May 2
The election date has now been set for May 2, 2011.
I have removed the question mark from the title of the post.
