Happy new year to all Ethiopian Canadians.  May the year now beginning be blessed with peace, justice, health and prosperity.

I was honoured to address Ethiopian Canadians yesterday at their festival in Christie Pits park.  Wonderful food, music and dancing were on offer and I stayed most of the afternoon.

I’ll be celebrating out at Christie Pits later today, after I march in the Cabbagetown parade with Ellen Michelson from Toronto Centre. This evening, I’ll be at the Vegetarian Food Fair. Wish everyone a happy weekend.

Frank de Jong, Green Party of Ontario Leader, will a special guest at an Ethiopian community event in our riding.  Adriana Mugnatto-Hamu, Toronto-Danforth Green Party of Canada nominated candidate, will also attend.
