“The Refugees of the Blue Planet” is an NFB film about environmental refugees. With stunning footage from around the globe, it chronicles the disturbing stories of the human consequences of environmental destruction through climate change, overexploitation, pollution and envrionmental degradation. There are a number of sections on internal refugees in Canada, fleeing from homes near sour-gas wells which risk dangerous releases of powerful neurotoxins in our quest to pillage the Earth for the last dregs of our remaining natural gas.
