2007 Mar 3: Everything you always wanted to know about how to win an election*

*but were afraid to ask.

Mary Ann Grainger has organized a day of great workshops. Here’s the printable PDF invitation, which I have transcribed below…

You’re invited to join Elizabeth May and follow Green supporters for a unique seminar created to provide you with the tools you need to win seats in the next election.

Hosted by Toronto-Danforth Greens, this groundbreaking event has been broken down into three workshops — each one specifically designed to meet the needs of three distinct groups — Green Party supporters, candidates, and key campaign volunteers.

Workshops are open to anyone who wants to travel to Toronto to attend.

Elizabeth May will be our special guest at workshop C.

You can choose to attend either of the morning sessions plus the afternoon session — or just one of the morning sessions — or just the afternoon session. It’s your choice!

Date and location

Everything you always wanted to know
about how to win an election*
Saturday, 2007 March 3, 10am – 1pm and 2pm – 5pm
North York Civic Centre, 5100 Yonge St

(North York Centre subway station,
5 blocks north of Sheppard Ave)

We were going to say free, but we are going to need to cover some out-of-pocket expenses — so the event will be “pay what you can” (and if that’s $0.00 that’s okay).

There will be a 1-hour lunch break between the morning and afternoon workshops. You can bring your own luch or there are many different types of resaurants nearby.

You must register to take part in this event!

Email maryann@danforthgreens.ca with the following information:

  1. Your name, address and telephone number.
  2. Your riding.
  3. Which workshop(s) you would like to attend.

If you do not have access to email, you can put the above information on a piece of paper and fax it to 416-466-1497. Electronic communication is preferable. If not possible, please call 416-823-7678 to register.

5100 Yonge Street you say…is parking available? I need a good-sized spot too because I think I shall take the Hummer out for a spin.
